How to salt the pasta
Cooking pasta is, apparently, very simple: boil some water, then add the pasta, set the timer for the minutes indicated on the package, and when the buzzer sounds... voila: the pasta is ready! Simple, isn't it? There are, however, some precautions to follow to ensure that the cooking is optimal. First of all, avoid that the pasta is cooked too much, by getting dark; the second: when to add salt? Better before or after the water boils? There has been a real debate on this issue: science advises against salting water before boiling, because salted water will take longer to boil. The "practice" says, however, that adding a handful of coarse salt before turning on the stove is a healthy habit to follow to avoid ... forget it! Whether you opt for one or the other option, our advice is not to behave like those who (alas!) add salt directly on the pasta already drained and implanted!
