Abruzzo company producing quality confectionery product
The company PAN DUCALE was founded in 1967 by Pasquale D'Amario, the founder, born in San Giacomo di Atri (TE) in 1938. After several jobs, in 1966 he took over the management of the theater cafe in the main square of Atri. And it is from this bar, in the heart of the city of Atri, that the story begins: Mrs. Filomena, Pasquale's mother, jealously guarded the recipe of Pan Ducale, a typical sweet of the city and whose origin dates back to 1352, when the Dukes of Acquaviva arrived in Atri. Pasquale D'Amario, with the help of his mother and his wife Maria Rosaria, a skilled pastry chef, begins to produce the cake: he kneads it in the back of the bar, takes it to bake in the oven of the village and then sells it in the bar wrapping it by hand. The success of his idea and the goodness of the cake, led him to sell the bar to devote himself completely to the production of PAN DUCALE.Soon, Pasquale D'Amario, began to produce other sweets and, to meet the increasing demands, called to work with him several local ladies, experienced hands, able to make the sweets in the same way as they do at home. Thanks to the team created and to the excellent recipes worked in an artisan way, Pasquale D'Amario entered the international market. PAN DUCALE becomes a brand known and established on the international scene. NO GMOS, NO ADDITIVES, PRESERVATIVES AND HYDROGENATED FATS. The flours used are only the best and are checked at each discharge in our laboratory of analysis. No GMOs, additives, preservatives or hydrogenated fats are used in our biscuits.
